Lost In The Post

By The Wombats

The Wombats' latest release, 'Lost in the Post' is a charming single that takes a couple of listens to get into, but once it's in your head you won't be able to shake it out.

The Liverpool-based band have taken the charm from the best Brit-pop bands and introduced it to the 21st Century. The sing-a-long chorus has a great melodic hook that makes you want to bop around the room.

When hearing the other track on the single, 'Patricia the Stripper', it's clear they have hit onto a formula. Although a slightly slower song, the chorus offers the same ooh, ooh, ooh's. These help you get into the songs, but it might become tiresome if an album is riddled with them.

What is on offer is a couple of tracks that are full of energy and powerful choruses. It will be well worth the investment.

Agreed, although the Kaiser's album sold very well and was a hit with many people the ever present Arrrrrrrgh leading up to the chorus' became really irritating for me.
