Heat Exchange

By The Electric Cinema

Heat Exchange is the first single from The Electric Cinema's incoming album (due for release later in the year). This Watford 4-piece create alternative pop-rock with an element of fun, striking up remarkable similarities with the Flaming Lips.

"Heat Exchange" carries a fun summertime vibe and features deep, chunky bass, squelchy synthesized parts, crashing drums and a somewhat dazzling and prominent chorus in the form of: "always be the same, always be the same, it's just a heat exchange, it's just a heat exchange". It's a wonderful alternative take on pop-rock with no pretence.

The B-side "Its Fire We Crave The Most" is an acoustic cut of The Electric Cinema's second single (due for release in October). This minimal take on the track consists purely of acoustic guitar and earthly vocals resulting in a pleasant folk number which sounds a little Arcade Fire inspired.

This insightful effort paints a very bright future for The Electric Cinema, I for one, await the pending album with a great deal of intrigue.
