Biography

indie acoustic

ODi is an Irish singer/songwriter who manages to blend elements of Joan Armatrading's pathos, Beth Orton's eye for the quirky and deep with a touch of Dido's bedsit romance. Her story began 3 years ago when she uploaded some simple home recordings to her myspace page (www.myspace.com/odimusic). Armed with a beautiful raw voice and a cheap guitar from ebay, ODi headed down to her local folk club to blag her first gig. Since then, she has gigged tirelessly across Ireland, the UK and Germany, playing upwards of 250 shows, supporting the likes of Eleanor McEvoy, Mick Flannery and Mundy. She now joins forces with Dave Redfearn (lead guitar), Sean O'Leary (drums) and Lee Byrne (bass) to create a soulful slice of folk/indie cross-over. Her debut album, "Maslow's Songbook" (produced by Karl Odlum) features contributions from Colm Mac Con Iomaire (The Frames / Swell Season) and has been described as "an album that would rival anything The Cranberries have done" ... 2 U I Bestow.
