By The Vitamins
We're forever being told that vitamins are good for us. Now it's time to find out the whole truth...
Formed two years ago (contrary to pesky scientists belief, I am told), The Vitamins are said to specialise in 'whitebluespoppunkrock', although they could do will adding a little 'glam' tag to their snappy genre; 'You Got Me Singing' certainly contains the sultry distinctive stomp of many a T-Rex pretender gone by. The lyrics are as pop as they come - "When you're singing a song, I wont sing along", and then the catchy chorus' contradiction, "You got me singing all night!"
This certainly isn't Steps gone street-cred however, far from it. The song may seem a little dumb, but certainly has a good deal of brains. For the whole duration it threatens to ruin itself and burst into an over the top rock mess, but somehow refrains and manages to stay sexy.
Track two is 'Medicine', and continues their incessant appeal, albeit not on the same level as its predecessor. It's distinctive and easy to listen to, as the chorus' repetition proves. However, while you feel The Vitamins are modelled to be successful, it also thankfully appears that nothing is being taken away from them in comparison to over production of recent music from Infadels and Nine Black Alps among many others.
Eat healthy and listen to these, then you won't be going far wrong.
