The latest single from Snowfight In The City Centre [formerly known as Lisa Brown] is a distinct disappointment on the impressive previous release No Light Left. Listen was originally released under Lisa Brown a few years ago but this time round all the sub-disco production has been binned in favour of a more organic guitar based sound. The problem with this though is that the chorus is so bed-wettingly bland all interest has evaporated by the time it comes to its first conclusion. Snowfight... will undoubtedly appeal to the masses with this sort of soppy nondescript material.

Second track Big Ideas recorded at XFM doesn't fare any better and with it being over 5 minutes long the stop button is a distinctly attractive option.

Saw them live at Tokyo last week, thought they were fantastic. Got given a copy of this after the gig and must admit the studio does take away some of the benefits of their live performance.

This is coming from someone who's favourite bands are Trail Of Dead and Pixies, so I'm not exactly into bedwetting music. Fair points on the review (maybe a little harsh) but live they are a marvellous prospect, quite like the Infadels used to be before they tried (and failed) to sell records.
