Father have already made an impact across all of the ex Yugoslavian territory over the last two years playing with names such as Anthrax, The Hives, Max Cavalera, Henry Rollins, Sisters of Mercy and Madball.
So now they're ready for the rest of the world, with debut album Inspirita. Taken from that album, Cynosure/Machina are an excellent example of Father's take on alternative metal. From the mid-paced riff monster of Cynosure to the dance worthy Machina, Father are likely to do well in the UK. Machina is like getting the funkiness of Faith No More and slapping it on Tool, meaning you have to nod your head to this, whilst Cynosure is heavily influenced by bands like Pantera and Machine Head. The band also add enough of their own personality to the mix too. For one thing they don't scream, like you'd expect when hearing Pantera and Machine Head in the same sentence. I suppose they don't have to scream because they play happy metal, made for jumping and raising your fists at.
