Mark Ronson is that hip-hop guy who remixed "Just" by Radiohead last year. That song was fucking rad. So now he's got a new record with a bunch of 70s-style funky covers of more indie-pop tunes. His first record was well hip-hop but his new one, "Version", is gonna be a killer if this and the Just cover are anything to go by.

It's a reworking of the Britney Spears classic, but with cool horns and shit going on. With Ole Dirty Bastard rapping on top like it 1997. It's kind of like music you can't dislike, and ace to dance to as well.

So yeah, unless you listen to Stax records from the seventies, it sounds completely original and fresh and funky. And ODB is on form too, his raps are pretty hardcore.

This single is a double A-side with a cover of Coldplay's God Put A Smile On Your Face which sounds awesome and I bet anyone who like going to the Hi-Fi Club will love this.
