Monday's Arms

By Harrisons

Monday's Arms is an awesome mix of jangling guitars, stomping vocals and floor-filling dance drum beats that makes even the most pessimistic of people see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the Sheffield indie scene.

Crikey - is that it?

I just had a look at the video on their web site and it made me feel quite depressed. Aggressive but dull - with very little musical spark I thought.

For "awesome mix of jangling guitars, stomping vocals and floor-filling dance drum beats" see Sunshine Underground, surely?

It's probably one of their better songs too!

I'm not a fan of Harrisons either, although I'd say that this song stands out for me above the rest of their material.
