By The Code
The Code have orchestrated a passionate and lively track in the form of "Back of the Room". Like a pint of Stella it's instantly likeable, leaving you wanting another taste, and quenches your musical thirst. The track builds up like a geek on steroids and that bass line is pretty addictive. Stephen Kelly can certainly belt out a vocally accomplished track, which leads to similarities between him and Kelly Jones of the Stereophonics.
"I think you got me wrong" is along the same lines; fast beat, heavy guitar and gritty vocals. Doesn't reach the pinnacle set by "Back of the Room" but it's not far off.
"If" brings up the rear, and the BPMs are still there, but it starts off a lot mellower than the other 2, before getting going half way through the track, which is not to its detriment.
The Code are raw, ballsy and original. I liked them and recommend them to the house.
Lets hope, like a pint of Stella, they don't end up making you want to beat the wife and sleep with her best mate, or is that just me?
