Having already released this track once, Elektrons are throwing it out again to precede their debut album 'Red Light Don't Stop' which hits the stores the first week in August.
Already an underground hit after it was on limited release last summer; 'Get Up' is apparently the single everyone will be reaching for to get those summer parties kicking. Having learned a lot behind the decks in Manchester's Electric Chair, the faces behind Elektrons input funky hip hop with the vocals of rapper Soup and original vocalist Pete Simpson with the output sure to get you dancing.
The chorus is the best part of song, with 80's style blasts of energy music appearing in pretty much every bar, reminiscent of Snap's 'The Power' amongst other tracks. The song is extremely party orientated; a couple of beers down your neck, a summery shirt or skirt and you'll be throwing some shapes on the dance floor. It's extremely repetitive which is a downside, but I'm sure you wouldn't care if you weren't sober. The parties will be jumping when this track comes on. Playing it first time through, I wasn't sure I'd want to listen to it again, but it grew on me. Elektrons might not be massive names yet, but if the debut album includes tracks like this, I'm sure they'll be regulars on club speakers across the nation.
