The accompanying press blurb is refreshingly stupid and "eeh, I'm zany me" in nature, and luckily the two tunes contained herein are up to the mark to denounce any zaniness over talent argument. Two spikey filled pieces of 3-piece Cardiff action - "La Mer" has plenty of military drumming and off beat bass pounding, with Breeders-esque vocal actions, bursting into a full throttle out of tune ending note. Good start. "Stupid As Wood" carries on along a Pixies/Mclusky bass driven piece of Ravonettes spaghetti pop route, making me request - when are you playing in Leeds next? Very good.
