Recorded specifically to be included on 'Best Of' collection 'Absolute Garbage', said to be ranking alongside their best material and a single I'm sure many-a-fan have been waiting for, 'Tell Me Where It Hurts' is the new single from Garbage.
The track is quite the epic. Gripping instrument work, combined with the ever recognisable vocals from Shirley Manson, I don't quite think it's up there with the likes of 'Stupid Girl' or 'I Think I'm Paranoid' but it's a good effort. Shaping a reputation as one of the strongest live bands around, and having successfully played and entertained at Glasto, Download and The Carling Weekend, they've definitely established themselves as a fan favourite at the festivals. As said, it's an epic song, with a teasing introduction, a steady backbone and powerful words sung throughout. It's no wonder the band have sold over 12 million albums.
'Tell me where it hurts and to hell with everybody else'. I hope that the people don't go too far and forget to buy this single. It's a good effort and will no doubt be of interest for those buying the album. Hopefully it'll do well in the charts, even though it's a tad repetitive, but I'll let it go as the Manson's singing is somewhat beautiful.
