Come Clean EP

By Mexicolas

Now, I don't think these are Mexicans that like drinking cola, but I have never met them to be sure. 'Come Clean' starts with a thumping tumble of dirty drumming, then leads in to a guitar riff, similar to Queens Of The Stone Age. With a chorus that is stop start, singer Jamie Evans vocals have a smidgen of Chris Cornell about them (without the vocal range). 'Lovers Are Not Enemies' sounds too crisp to be the live studio version it is labelled as, and the smokey vocals and fuzzy distortion are hindered too much by indie pop melodies to be classed as grunge, though the similarities are there.
