''...I am surprised to see Lady Gaga and Lou Reed take to the 360 Club stage, although I am quickly informed that despite the cosmetic similarities to the aforementioned performers, I am in fact looking at Miranda Versus The Crok. My initial impressions might as well of been correct though, given the authority of Miranda's voice, the smoky stage presence of her guitarist.. and the effortless charisma that underpins their performance. Miranda belts her lyrics with a ballsy wail that is somewhere between Kristin Hersh and Corin Tucker, by way of Kate Bush on some of their more vocally acrobatic songs...
Miranda is also kind enough to be handing out free CDs after her set to the 360 Crowd, which are accepted enthusiastically. My initial disappointment then, of not baring witness to a bizarre cosmic celebrity super-jam between the Ice Queen of contemporary pop and one of the greatest songwriters to ever exist, is quickly quashed by the quality of Miranda versus The Crok's performance. Miranda Versus The Crok..have now got a new member, Thom MCgowan on drums so we will be playing all shows electric from now on as a 3 piece unless stated as acoustic.
