Since I reviewed the bands first album last May I have wanted to hear more material from the four-piece. They kindly sent me a pre release copy of their new album, which isn't due out till the end of the year. Some new songs and a few songs that have been re-worked from the old album and it really does them justice.

To say the music is mainstream-friendly would be an understatement. Choosing to draw on influences like Incubus and 311 the overall sound created is nothing short of excellent. Everything is there, right from the sing along rock anthem choruses to the lighter in the air tear jerking ballads. A lighter touch than the last album on a few of the tracks, but it works well.

But, rock is what this band likes to do, and they do it very well. Some of the heavier material on this album is excellent and I prefer this. With the amount of guitar work going on you would swear this was a five-piece band. There are some very interesting parts. The band have certainly got better playing-wise over the last year. The songwriting has clearly improved since the last album. There is some very catchy material on this album, which could bring the band some success when it is released. Why ain't they signed?
