Biography

Ragz is a singer/songwriter born and raised in a land coloured by northern lights
and fairytale creatures. With her rich, sustained voice, skilled musicianship and
gorgeous, occasionally dark music, Ragz has gained many fans and favourable
comparisons to, amongst others, Joni Mitchell, Feist and even Jeff Buckley.

She has cemented herself into the musical folklore of her current hometown,
Liverpool, and developed her craft on stages across the UK, supporting artists
including Laura Marling, Noah and the Whale, Mumford and Sons, Adem,
Karima Francis, IanMcNabb and David Ford.

After a busy 2008, which included the eagerly awaited release of the Little Stings
EP, an extensive tour of the UK and Norway earlier in the year was followed by another
mini-tour towards the end of 2008. nicely book-ended a relatively low-key summer
spent recording demos. Ragz also found the time to develop her new full band
and record tracks from the Bedroom Recordings sessions for release in 2009.

HIGHLIGHTS
Sold out The Bluecoat Arts Centre, Liverpool in April 2009 as one of the
season's headline performances.

Supported the critically acclaimed 'Mumford and Sons' to a sold out Korova
in Liverpool, February 2009.

Concluded a successful Autumn Tour at Liverpool's unity
theatre in December 2008.

Released the now sold out Bedroom Recordings limited editions ep1 and 2,
October 2008.

Supported Noah and the Whale and Karima Francis at Liverpool MTV Music
Week, November 2008.

Supported EMI's Laura Marling in May 2008 for the inaugural Liverpool!
Sound City Festival.

Released 'Little Stings' EP in January 2008 followed by an extensive tour of the UK
and Norway.

Music video for Ragz' song 'More' was chosen by the Norwegian web site 'Urort'
to be played on National Norwegian Television in 2007.
