Hey! Housebrick

By Hot Club De Paris

Hot Club De Paris release 'Hey! Housebrick', a solid foundation, a well worked underpinning, good craftsmanship, the distinctive first slab and cement to the whole overall property development that is the new album.

Lots of chanting and 'Hey!'s throughout the (just over) two and a half minutes of song. It's rather storytelling lyric-based to start, with little instrument. It's a lovely foreword to what the rest of the album could incorporate. Mixing up pace and altering the deliverance speed of lyrics means you will no doubt be joining in with the backing lyrics sooner than you think. It seems a lot longer than its actual timing as it starts to drag by the end. It's a strange subject to discuss, a housebrick, wondering if it is resting in a building or heading for a windscreen but regardless of the subject matter, the track is a fun, team based effort. Kind of like the effort you'd come to expect of a water polo team, just with less Speedo and a talent worthy of the name Paris.

'Hey! Housebrick' is a concrete initial release from the album 'Live At Deadlake' and will no doubt gain Hot Club De Paris an (Eiffel) tower load of fans.
