Biography
The Last People On Earth are a new band from Yorkshire, sounding like a hybrid
of The Doors and Colloseum meet Jeff Buckley on a hyperdelic rock 'n' soul ride
to the neo-psychedelia paisley underground (but without guitars).
Consisting of drums, bass, piano, organ, synth and 2 vocals the band put on a
lively dynamic show and played over 30 gigs last year. Achieving a fantastic
response from venues such as The Grapes (Sheffield), Junktion7 (Nottingham),
Vine (Leeds), Sweet-n-Sour (Hull), Brixton Jam (London) supporting the likes of
The Paddingtons, Johny Panic, Mohair.
The single & video - "Spacesuit" can be downloaded free and the CD album
"Sounds like a tiger" available to purchase from the website & gigs.
"Spacesuit" was played on Radio One by Hew Stephens (July 05).
The band was voted "best performance" at Carling Leeds Festival 2005 (Lee
Sounds Stage) by the BBC Radio Humberside Raw Talent Poll, and runners up
in the "best session" & "best track" of 2005.
