About Leeds Festival, Bramham Park
In 1999, the Reading Festival extended to Leeds. With its Northern counterpart Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival attracting over 90,000 music fans the dual-site event continues to grow from strength to strength.
In 2008, the festival organisers parted with their main sponsor Carling and the festival reverted back to the name of "Leeds Festival".
The line up for Leeds Festival is typically announced in March with more bands revealed throughout the summer leading up to the event. However, in a break from the norm the organisers have recently started to reveal some bands before Christmas.
In 2016, the Main Stage headliners will be Red Hot Chili Peppers and two more tbc.
Tickets for Leeds Festival 2016 are available through Ticketmaster and See Tickets.

Bastille are a London based band made up of Dan, Will, Kyle and Woody, who are current making waves following highly praised sessions on Radio1 with Huw Stephens and Radio2 with Dermot O'Leary...to name a few. Just before they took to the stage here at Leeds Festival, and following their appearance at Reading and BBC3 with Fearne Cotton, I was lucky to grab (the very excited) Bastille for a chat. We discussed their love of Sleeping, Hot Sauce and collaboration with Jedward....I kid you not!!
