Compassionate Dictatorship was born out of the collaboration between guitarist Jez Franks and saxophonist Tori Freestone who have been performing and writing together since 1993. Described as €ścatching the current wave of British jazz€ť by Jazzwise Magazine, this guitar and sax led quartet play original material that draws from a wide range of influences from folk to free and contemporary jazz.
The quartets new album, Cash Cow, is due for release in early 2009.
