WHISKEY KNIFE returns on the 23rd August for an incredibly special and intimate gig featuring Manchester's finest DUTCH UNCLES.

Warming up for their Leeds and Reading Festival shows the following weekend Dutch Uncles will be supported by 2 of Leeds' best up and coming bands HEART-SHIPS (also warming up for Leeds and Reading) and PRETTY RIDDLES.

What needs saying about Marple's finest that hasn't already been said. Fresh from the release of their 2nd album, Cadenza, Dutch Uncles have been wowing crowds all over. Signed to Memphis Industries (The Go! Team, Tokyo Police Club) Dutch Uncles over time have been compared to the likes of Talking Heads, The Smiths and XTC. The band will be heading straight off to the Leeds and Reading Festival, playing on the Festival Republic Stage.

Make sure you get down as this is a very intimate and one off performance.

Fitting somewhere between Sunset Rubdown at their most raucous, Modest Mouse, The Microphones and Patrick Wolf; Heart Ships are a Leeds based band, playing together since December 2009. Disillusioned after several half arsed attempts to form bands proper, Ryan and Winterbird pledged to one another that they'd jam the most lawless, anything goes music they could muster until something magical happened. The result is a 6 piece with a live show nothing short of incendiary.

Heart-Ships recently came in the final 6 of the 2011 Futuresound competition meaning they'll be heading off to play Leeds and Reading Festival the following weekend.

The final band on the bill are Leeds based 4 piece Pretty Riddles. Taking influence from the likes of The Velvet Underground, The Stones, Dylan and The Strokes Pretty Riddles have been hitting the live circuit hard since forming in 2010. The band have been building a strong following and are sure to get the gig off to a cracking start.
