Saturday 19th November sees a fundraiser with a difference taking place in aid of Label Love at Brudenell Social Club.

Subtitled 'Our Band Could Be Your Life', the gig takes its name from Michael Azzerad's seminal history of the '80s American indie underground.

Since Label Love's aim is to promote independent music, 'Our Band Could Be Your Life' provides an excellent starting point as a celebratory chronicle of the beginnings of the indie DIY scene.

A diverse cast of 13 local bands will perform short cover sets of those featured in Azerrad's book, plus one or two of their own songs.
