For the first time in 6 months, we (British Racing Green) are returning to our Birthplace of Leeds to officially Launch our second EP "In Disgrace With Fortune".
We've spent the past 6 months gigging around the country and the night before our live radio session for the BBC we want to give you all one hell of a party, and make the people in the restaurant upstairs wish they'd gone to nandos.
"British Racing Green - the most exciting band we've seen recently. Great tunes, great attitude"
The first band on will be walking all the way from Bath.
Earning BBC Introducing's "Stamp Of Approval" and described as "The Beatles On Speed"? the band that consists of Oli Henry Ferris and Tom Watling both playing guitar and singing, Robert Hunt on bass and Ben Staples on drums.
"In Fear Of Olive combines the raggedy charm of roots with an urgency and insistence that's one hundred percent contemporary"
- Subba Cultcha
"Twanged-up skiffling rock and roll from the Deep South - deep South Yorkshire, that is. Energised by Johnny Cash, Bright Eyes and Bob Dylan, this quartet has the Richard Hawley seal of approval, and ours too."
- The Word magazine (Jul 16, 2011)
Bands start at 9pm, with the headliners on at 11pm. Free entry, and first 20 people in get a free E.P.
