360 Club presents:

Alaska: http://www.alaskaofficial.com/

'Girl' - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49dh6QuY2Y8

One of the best bands on the scene returns to 360 Club ahead of their appearance at 'Green Man' festival.
"slanted and enchanted, lo fi indie tunes - think Pavement fronted by David Byrne" - Stephen Moore, The Islington Gazette

"Nick John Henry produces a big noise from one guitar and had something of Syd Barrett around his songs. Dramatic slashes of guitar cutting through lyrics which seemed to be studded with surrealism. Interesting stuff." - Jonathan Aird, Americana-UK.com

"Their songs are wonderfully unpredictable, varying between sprawling and compact, surf-influenced and desolate. Some wouldn't be out of place on a Coen Brothers film soundtrack. Indeed, ALASKA are the kind of band that wouldn't seem out of place in many settings far grander than this."? Leeds Music Scene.net

"Their first performance here was outstanding and since then they have gone from strength to strength working their way up the bill and they certainly deserve all of the applause with which their set is met this evening."? Rebecca Atkinson - Leeds Music Scene.

Littlemores: http://www.littlemores.co.uk/

http://youtu.be/4Lqtn8KJy50

Championed by Tom Robinson his on BBC6 Music show and it's not hard to see why when you hear them.

"every now and again a truly remarkable band stands out from the crowd, and right now the fabulous Littlemores from York are that band for us."? - Galtres Festival

"they blew me away and played, what can only be described as one of the best gigs I have ever seen and I am ever likely to see."? Stereoboard.com

'Littlemores continually radiate a carefree and hair-ruffled joy that carries them along, backed by an intelligent guitar-pop suss with a beating heart and lyrics of astute intelligence. They say what they feel, not what convention dictates. And therefore their music carries an integrity and honest embrace that is sorely missing from most current UK guitar bands. The softer side of Arctic Monkeys, the stonier path of The Maccabees and a handful of unpretentious Ska to sweeten the whole cake into one joyful, to the point and abundantly pleasing collection' - David Edwards - Drowned in Sound

Their EP Idle Idols - received 5 stars on Stereoboard and one track - Larry - topped the Strummerville DIY chart for two weeks last summer - and they were the houseband on Radio 1 's Switch show with Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac.

Their instrumentation is unusual - with trumpet, accordion, a Hammond-like keyboard and a simply gorgeous guitar sound blending beautifully with an engine room of lyrical bass and precise, driving percussion.

A sound track of Indie jangle, blue-eyed reggae and white boy Ska that makes you dance and think at the same time. Music for a multi-tasking generation...

The Dukes of Bevington: https://www.facebook.com/tdob.official

"Finally, the stars of the night. The Dukes of Bevington stride onto the stage, these guys know how to put on a show. Well rehearsed and slick, to the point of introducing crowd participation, no matter that it came across as a bit cheesy. Solid drumming by James Locke worked well with bassist and lead vocalist Scott Quinn. However, top marks go to Christian Davies on guitar who shows not only superb technical skill but also plays like he means every note"
- Stuart Rhodes - Harrogate Advertiser 6/1/12

Deliver new, refreshing, and exciting music far from the usual styles that dominate Indie bands. They mix adventurous bass riffs, epic guitar melodies and pumping drums, with vocals guaranteed to get you singing along!

Pips: https://www.facebook.com/pipsband
are a funk rock medley best viewed through a 1990s style pair of disposable sunglasses - take your favourite old CDs, cram them into a blender and switch it on. Next, drink the resultant mix of Chilis, Rage and others! Chunky riffs keep you moving whilst the slap, chop and change keeps you on your toes. It's appreciatively unpredictable and tight as a Yorkshireman's wallet!
