Hippie Octopus Presents

Raw Peaches! (http://www.facebook.com/RawPeaches/app_6452028673)

'Having been influenced by the sounds of funky soul rock bands such as Steely Dan and Sam Cooke, Raw Peaches have created a fresh dose of rock 'n' roll with a soulful blues twist. Claiming the title "Leeds Best Unsigned Act"?, these guys are evidently a working talent for the public.

Every track succeeds in delivering soulful harmonies and smooth guitars. 'Get Me Out Of Here' leads their EP with a positive buzz of energetic drumming while Jake Waddington's rocking vocals are the epitome of cool.

One minute they're electrifying and the next they're incredibly charming, as 'Knowledge of Nothing' infuses blues grooves with sexy vocals. The band will easily capture the hearts of any listener, as the melodies in 'Maybe Fall In Love' ooze an appeal set to whip any girl into a frenzy.

The band continues to hypnotise their senorita with 'Spanish Sweetheart', using Latin style riffs that leads into a fiery chorus, and to finish, a technical guitar solo takes over in all its deep-picking glory and string-bending action.

The combination of incredible guitar skills and remarkable vocals brings out a raw emotion that particularly stands out in 'Convince Yourself You're Happy'. With the subject of heartbreak, the grungy guitar riffs accompany the chorus beautifully and complement the effortless voice that makes the lyrics so much more poignant.

Compared to other rock 'n' roll bands on the scene, their sound uses blues-influences that are not only charming and emotionally intense, but an energetic bundle of fun.'

'A collection of 3 feral youth, came together through the use of going to really shit gigs at our local cricket club, thinking what is this?!

March '11 was the month we first plucked strings and hit skins.
September '11 was the month we first giged and hurt your ears.
February '12 was the month we hurt your ears again, also the month we gigged too much.
March '12 is our anniversary.

See you at a gig, folk
