This Year's Interviews

  • The Staves
Charles Eager speaks to The Staves.
  • A Plastic Rose
A video interview with A Plastic Rose at Live at Leeds 2012.
  • Zico Chain
James Elson talks with Zico Chain.
  • The Cast of Cheers
Last Wednesday, 29th February I was lucky enough to catch up with Cast of Cheers, four very charming and down to earth Irish lads. Greeted by smiles and handshakes the band introduced themselves before settling down in the upstairs backstage at the Cockpit. We chatted about their upcoming first European tour, living together and random music choices. All very different characters it became clear later on in the gig how they manage to successfully mix different genres of music together.
  • Tristan Mackay
From being the best busker in Leeds to having one of the most anticipated albums on Amazon, Tristan Mackay is Britain's long-awaited answer to John Mayer. Blending soulful blues guitar with a unique talent for crafting songs, Tristan Mackay is the name to look out for this year. On a quick trip back to Leeds before his album launch, I managed to meet with Tristan for a half hour chat before he was due on the BBC.
  • Honour Before Glory
Harry Bedford sat down with Whiskas to talk Honour Before Glory and more...
  • The Blackout
I interviewed Bob, the guitarist and Snoz, the drummer from The Blackout, in November on their UK tour, to see what was going on for them, how was their 2011, what was next for the band after they'd conquered the UK this year.
  • High Contrast
Holly Senior went to February 3rd's Hospitality at 02 Academy Leeds and caught up headliner with High Contrast (aka Lincoln Barrett).
  • Remember the Hurricanes
Charles Eager speaks to Remember the Hurricanes.
  • Canterbury
Aaron Snowdon checked in with Canterbury before their February gig at the Cockpit.
