CD Review: Various Artists - Lavotchkin / End To Empires - split single
It was John Lydon who once stated that 'anger is an energy'. If that's the case, then there's enough of the stuff on this 4 track split EP to power a city.

If you're looking for a straight-up hardcore kicking, then The Catharsis could well be your new favourite band.

Live Review: Every Time I Die + Trash Talk + Spy Catcher + Defeater
It's grim up North. It's cold, wet, and windier than Eric Pickles after a vindaloo, but rolling through Leeds to lighten the mood this fine Thursday evening is the Rock Sound Riot Tour, bringing with it a lineup as diverse as the term 'punk rock' will allow, and enough fans to easily fill the main room of The Cockpit - not that anyone is around to catch Spy Catcher's opening set, which in some ways is a bit of a shame.

CD Review: Brutality Will Prevail - Root of All Evil
South Wales breeds hardcore. I no longer have to imagine the Welsh punk rock-rooted counter culture scene as a massive glittery concussion of post- hardcore contraventions such as The Blackout or Kids In Glass Houses.

Live Review: Heart In Hand + The Eyes Of A Traitor + Martyr Defiled + Demoraliser + Carcer City
It's gutting to see that The Well is, at best, half full for tonight, not just because this show features 5 of the best up-and-coming heavy bands the UK has to offer, but because all this available to you for a mere six pounds.

The Ocean Between Us have a tough job in opening up the 2nd day of Ghostfest, but rise to the occasion in spectacular style.

Live Review: Brutality Will Prevail + Carcer City + Comeback Kid + Broken Teeth + Brotherhood of the Lake + Heights + Grader + Heart Of A Coward + Heavy Hands + Ingested
Now in its 7th year of existence, Ghostfest is back to terrorise Leeds once more, swamping the city with tie-dye, snapbacks and more Desolated merch than a man can count.
