Live Review: Camborio + The Cutters + The Fauves + Higher Sights
There is laughter in the air tonight; people look determined to have fun. Young innocent faces rejuvenate my past and my Sixth Form days come flooding back to me.

Live Review: Twin Atlantic + Fighting With Wire + Spy Catcher
If tonight's show is anything to go by, the UK's rock scene is in very safe hands indeed. Not content with releasing one of the stand-out albums of 2011, Twin Atlantic are currently touring the UK in support of it, and anyone who hasn't got a ticket for this sold-out show tonight is missing out.

Live Review: Edison Medicine + Brody + Mizkarrage of Justice
Apologies to Mizkarrage of Justice, as I was late (I always seem to be late these days). I got there in time to hear something I recognised but couldn't place and as I was scrabbling round for a pen realised it was cover of something.

I was supposed to be going to Josephs Well tonight to see Brody, Sugarvalve and Catylyst. Unfortunately they cancelled, so I rang my friends and said, hey no problem I'm definitely coming to see you guys now, only to check the discussion board and see that it had been rearranged at Royal Park and was going ahead as planned aaaahhhhhh!!!

Live Review: Stateless + The Hair + Nikoli + Ric Neale + Captain Wilberforce
"Left foot, motion! Right foot, stand still! I don't need these words!" No, you do not, Sam Robson. You do these things with your legs involuntarily, as though possessed by a more sexually-frustrated John Travolta, only sporting a more scruffy nature of clothing, jeans dripping with condensation, an explosion of hair being thrown around your noggin.

Live Review: ˇForward, Russia! + Komakino + Kubichek!
John McGee gets all giddy and silly and drunk and strange things happen while watching bands. Forgive me if I come on like a drunken raconteur but that's where the story begins, like all good stories should, in the pub, over a formerly nursed pint of cider now in smithereens on a tiled floor.

CD Review: Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight
It's been a constant source of wonder why there's been so much fuss made over the perfectly OK Glasvegas this year when another Scottish band released possibly the finest album of 2008 yet escaped the NME's and most everyone else's spotlight.
