CD Review: The Gold Fever - California / Hear My Voice
Oh no it's that dreaded genre, a genre in which a band can be very very good or damn shite! Strangely enough The Gold Fever are neither, they have simple Ramones style guitar riffs mixed with indie melodies and vocals, yes kids, here we have another Indie-punk record, a genre which has confused us all.

Live Review: LaRusso + The Gold Fever + Jinzena
It's around 9 o'clock when I wander down to Carpe Diem, feeling a little dazed and inebriated. (I blame the afternoon spent in the pub celebrating degree results).

CD Review: Three Children Of Fortune - Scarlet Fever
Despite sounding like an early-eighties kids cartoon a la Mysterious Cities of Gold, Three Children Of Fortune are in fact a post-rock trio from Medway who specialise in creating a "visceral, angry and abrasive take on British guitar music".

Live Review: The Fret + 4 Letter Holiday
Having become rather disconsolate by seeing many unsigned bands who simply mimic their heroes, often succeeding in recreating the look rather than the sound of say the Libertines, Oasis and the Strokes, it was refreshing to see two bands for whom the music definitely came first at the Bassment.

Band Profile: Envelopes
For about six years I played the bass in Envelopes. The first five of those, I only met the band a few weekends a year, and during those weird Christian holidays.

CD Review: The Young Veins - Take a Vacation!
The five years spent fettling away in the Panic At The Disco engine room and churning away behind the pomp and eccentricity of Brendan Urie's 'emo boy with confidence' frontmanship did very little to appease Ryan Ross' then dangerously expanding quality of penmanship.
