CD Review: Groove Armada - From The Vaults 1997-2007
At first glance of the cover, it's quite confusing to what the title of this album actually is, as 'GROOVE ARMADA - 10 YEAR STORY' stares you in the face, yet in the top left corner, 'From the Vaults 1997-2007' peers in discretely.

CD Review: The Cortinas - MK.1
The Cortinas 'MK.1' is the latest release from Bristol Archive Records who specialise in local bands from the mid-70's onwards, "as a vehicle to talk about and remember Bristol's forgotten stars, those people that should have, could have or probably had no chance of fame and Global domination." Formed in 1976, The Cortinas started out as an R&B covers band before discovering punk pioneers like The Stooges and The New York Dolls.

CD Review: One Day, After School... - Untitled
From Wakefield's One Day, After School... comes a four track demo bringing together tracks previously released on a number of compilations, including 'Geek Pie III' and 'Do You Suffer From Philophobia?' First up though, is previously unreleased track 'Softly Softly.' As the only song not to have not enjoyed a compilation release, it is, rather expectedly, the weakest of the bunch.

Live Review: i concur + The Pattern Theory + Rotary Ten + Mickey Charbagz + Peter Wright
There's a strong sociable ambience at tonight's EP launch for i concur. The whole evening is endearingly informal - partly a product of the choice of venue, but most importantly of the obvious musical friendships between groups.

CD Review: Cardiacs - Concerts Vol I & II
I give you fair warning.  I am about to break the ancient, time-honoured and globally respected code of the International Covenant of Authors, Note-Takers, Writers, Reviewers, Interviewers, Talkers and Editors (or ICANTWRITE for short) covering the critique of musical releases and/or performances on precisely 2 counts.  In fact one of these has already been broken.  So apologies if this warning comes too late in the day and has already caused you unnecessary distress.
