Since it opened in 1999, The Wardrobe has earned an international reputation as an influential and respected entertainments venue, receiving spectacular reviews and awards and showcasing some of the most reputable live acts on the global music scene.With a painstakingly engineered, custom-built sound-system and a forty foot cocktail bar, The Wardrobe's Basement Club has stood in the vanguard of the Leeds live scene for over a decade. Occupying the entire basement of the former warehouse, the interior echoes fifties New York industrialism and offers relaxation and entertainment to some 450 revellers.
The Wardrobe's dance floors have surrendered to a plethora of DJs and MCs who include Norman Jay, Lyrics Born, and Roots Manova.
And within the separate Cafe Bar live music creates a peaceful ambience on a week night and adds an electric atmosphere to the weekend.
The Wardrobe is constantly looking for new live acts and DJs to showcase within its diverse and established music program. The venue is also available to hire and has a range of spaces available, with an expert team of bartenders, chefs, waiters, stage hands and audio-visual technicians to make sure every aspect is covered.
