This is a review of "Keep Control" recorded by Ten Dollar Fist. The review was written by Sam Saunders in 2002.

Ten Dollar Fist are University boys giving it a go from a Wakefield HQ. There's a cheerful whiff of Bill and Ted before they went back in time to learn to play, and a jumbo slice of Wayne and Garth posturing. Track one sets a cowboy rock mood with a full throttle YEEHAAH!

The musicianship is insecure, but the spirit is there. The fact that very well tried structures are used repeatedly doesn't endear them to me. The most constructive thing I can say is that they probably had a great time recording this stuff. It is rock of some kind.
