Alongside touring their 14 chapter natural history musical epic in schools up and down the country for the past two years, Huddersfield band Being 747 have been working towards recording its album counterpart.

And this week the band have announced the official release of the 'Amoeba to Zebra' album on the local Wrath Records label.

The album will be available in both CD and Digital Download formats, with the physical CD version set to include artwork designed by Kristyna Baczynski along with a 16-page booklet containing all the lyrics and narration.

Both CD and download versions will feature the full 55 minute sequence of songs that appear in the live show.

The CD album will be available to buy directly from the band from mid-May, and the digital version will be available from all major download stores by 7th June 2010.

To promote the release Being 747 will be playing at The Library in Leeds on Saturday 5th June. The Amoeba to Zebra show is also scheduled to be appear at a number of prestigious Science Festivals in the UK as well as at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe later in 2010.
