This is an archive of the band profile for Pengilly's.

Pengilly's greatly-anticipated debut single 'Ode VIII' was released in front of a sell-out crowd at The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds.

Last year saw the band support the XX and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly., while frontman Ric Hollingbery recorded on Corinne Bailey-Rae's Mercury Nominated album, The Sea, and perform on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury with New York Times favourite Emmy the Great.

The band has been championed by the likes of BBC 6 Music DJ Tom Robinson and rewarded with countless radio plays, a full length interview with Tom Robinson on BBC Introducing and a feature on Bobby Friction's Asian Network. The band has been hotly tipped as one of the most intriguing and mysterious projects in the U.K. underground and are playing a huge part in the burgeoning student music scene in Leeds. The band is currently booking U.K. festivals in support of their up-coming EP release.
