Leeds rock trio Dub City have confirmed that their current guitarist, Richard Thornton, is to leave the band.

Dub City bassist Paul Wainwright said, "Richard has decided that he wants to leave the band for several reasons, the main one being that he doesn't feel like he wants to be in a band at the current time. Both me and Paul Crowther (drummer) totally understand his reasons for quitting and we wish him well with whatever he decides to do."

Wainwright and Crowther plan to continue with a new guitarist, and they hope to unveil their new guitarist within the next month.

The energetic rockers will be playing their last gig with Thornton at Josephs Well on Tuesday 14th January, supported by Next Autumn Soundtrack, Brainfreeze and Ungowa.
