This is an archive of the band profile for Andy Doonan.

Andy Doonan combines an intimate indie-acoustic sound with pop and alternative influences to deliver powerful honest songs.

Whilst gigging relentlessly he has played alongside acts such as Toploader, The Hoosiers, The Staves, and Hue and Cry, to name a few. Tracks from debut album Lights and Mirrors (2011), recorded by the Pigeon Detectives producer Andy Hawkins, have been aired on local BBC Introducing radio shows and Tom Robinson's BBC Radio 6 Music. His live performance has received postive feedback from Radio 1's Tom Deacon and Alex baker from Kerrang!

Doonan's new material sees an independent artist going his own way, after turning down The Voice UK who scouted him to compete in this year's TV series. He is set to release new EP Sky on Fire in summer 2013.
