A series of pioneering Music, Art and Film events culminating in the week of the 22nd - 29th September will hit Leeds and Bradford this September.

Branded as RECON, it's a festival-taking place across multiple sites and venues across the two cities. Venues include The Brudenell Social Club, Howard Assembly Rooms, Hyde Park Picture House, The New Bradford Playhouse, Delius Arts and Cultural Centre, Wharf Chambers and the public domain.

Gang Of Four, Vibracathedral Orchestra, Hookworms, Cut Hands, Black Pus and Oneohtrix Point Never lead the musical highlights announced with others including film screenings with live soundtracks.

On 22nd September, That Fucking Tank will play with Black Pus (Lightning Bolt) at the Brudenell Social Club [tickets].

Oneohtrix Point Never will appear at Howard Assembly Room on 26th September, along with Cut Hands and Helm [tickets].

Gang Of Four return to Leeds and will play a special show at The Brudenell on 28th September, where they will share a stage with Bilge Pump and Cowtown [tickets].

The Brudenell, in association with Now Wave, will also host the event MONO on 29th September, featuring White Manna, Hookworms, Cold Pumas and many others in an all-dayer to close the festival [tickets].

RECON will emphasis on bringing pioneering artists to the city as well as shining a light on the local underground, prompting new collaborations and work in the expanded fields of music, sonic art and film. Showcasing and bringing together innovators, experimenters, risk-takers, mavericks and outsiders working creatively with music, sonic arts, performance and film.

The festival is run in collaboration between Lumen, M@BU and Room 237 in partnership with Leeds Film, The Brudenell Social Club, Cops and Robbers, Now Wave, Sheepscar Light Industrial, Leeds City Council, Opera North, Hyde Park Picture House and with generous support from Leeds Inspired, University of Bradford and Arts Council England.
