This is a review of "Untitled" recorded by Hysteria. The review was written by Mark Casci in 2004.

Hysteria are a classic textbook example of why you should never judge a book by its cover.

Their sound is that of an emotional indie/rock band with introspective lyrics. While this description could be levied at any band of A-level students, desperate to be the next Muse, what sets Hysteria apart is their desire to strive beyond such pathetic parameters, to drive beyond crafting misery-ridden opuses for students to get their rocks off to.

Sophisticated guitar lines vie for your attention with some very innovative drumming. All the while bittersweet lyrics tug at your heartstrings. Two of their demos tracks are culled from live performances, demonstrating the bands ability to be passionate and convincing on stage.

So what have we learned? Never judge a book by its cover, and see this band live as soon as humanly possible.
