Tim Canfer grew up playing guitar; a longhaired indie-kid in the throws of the grunge era. At the age of 18 he blagged a job teaching music at an American summer camp and, while there, decided against a career in the glamorous world of electronic engineering for the drudgery of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

He returned to the UK and after playing with numerous bands he threw his lot in with portabello, which has become one of the most respected independent, Leeds-based guitar bands.

During his tenure with portabello Tim carefully honed his song writing and guitar playing skills. However, a surfeit of his own songs combined with the desire to develop his voice led him to pursue a solo project..
