Leeds Festival 2006 organisers Mean Fiddler have today announced the line up for the Carling Stage, with local bands The Sunshine Underground, The Pigeon Detectives and The Research all making appearances.

Friday night’s festivities will close with Animal Collective with main support coming from Hot Chip. The remainder of Friday’s Carling Stage features Larrikin Love, The Klaxons, Lethal Bizzle, Static, The Research, Good Shoes, Semi Finalists, You Say Party! We Say Die!, Humanzi, Switches, The On Offs and Kharma 45.

Bedouin Soundclash and Twilight Singers headline the Carling Stage on Saturday, with the line up completed by Eagles Of Death Metal, Howling Bells, Bromheads Jacket, The Sunshine Underground, Little Man Tate, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Field Music, Scissors for Left, The Pigeon Detectives, Zox and Mumm Ra.

The Carling Stage on Sunday is to be headlined by Nouvelle Vague, along with The Fratellis, TV On The Radio, The Organ, The Like, The Spinto Band, The Noisettes, Goodbooks, Tilly And The Wall, Rumble Strips, Serena Maneesh, The Maccabees and The Morning After Girls.

A limited number of day tickets are still available from HMV (Leeds City Centre and Leeds White Rose Centre).
