This is a review of "Of National Importance" recorded by This Et Al. The review was written by Chris Woolford in 2007.

It feels like an air raid! Am I in the blitz? Am I going to survive? HELP! Bloody hell, the new single from This Et Al doesn’t half jump out at you.

Taken from Baby Machine their forthcoming debut album, Of National Importance is a massive swirl of guitar noise, bulleting snare drums and thundering bass. Fleeting from a wall of noise to spiky angular guitars and back again it’s hard to actually take it all in. All I know is that I want to stay under the table until it’s gone away. It’s safer down there.

This is the only song I’ve listened to recently that actually scares me with its sheer noise and breathtaking speed while still managing to be as dynamic as Mig29 in a dog fight. Brilliant!
