This is a review of "Exit" recorded by Stateless. The review was written by Chris Woolford in 2007.

Stateless’ new single Exit is a whirling groove of dreamy ambient noise, looping synths, tight tight drums and DJ Shadow-esq samples delivered by the enigmatic KidKanevil.

Chris James’ beautifully painful distorted vocals drift over the slick production before bursts of crashing guitars and dirty scratches send me into a bobbing frenzy. I must look like I’m jogging drunk in slow motion.

Exit builds and builds and builds and builds reaching its crescendo before it all floats beautifully down on a cloud of delectable violins, whirring synths and tangled loops.

It’s very slick. It’s very smooth. It’s very Stateless. The forthcoming album should be an impressive piece of work.
