The 21st of July... a celebrated day for some. The day Tony Blair was declared winner of the leadership election for the Labour Party back in '94. The day Guns'n'Roses released their debut album back in '87. The day the Aswan High Dam in Egypt was completed in '70.

Well now there's a new reason for the region's music fans to celebrate it, as it brings to you the return of The Clarence Park Free Music Festival in its original setting (Clarence Park, Wakefield) after its first year of absence in 16 years.

The weekend of the 21st and 22nd July sees bands taking to the stage to entertain from noon onwards, including 80's prime movers Zodiac Mindwarp and The Love Reaction, plus a selection of bands from the area including The Solicitors, Eris, Metro, ZZ Eliminator, Theory1 and the long-awaited return of The Innocent OJs.
