As part of his 40th birthday celebrations, well-known local promoter Paul Holliday has organised the 24th and 25th Docstoc charity music festivals.

The events will showcase over 40 hours of music across the weekend of the 25th and 26th January 2008 and the money raised will be put towards the Halifax Bank Of Scotland Million Appeal. While the exact charity beneficiary is yet to be confirmed, previous charities have included NSPCC and The Heart Foundation.

Venues confirmed for the weekend include the Primrose, Brudenell Social Club, Trash and Zavvi (formerly Virgin Megastore), and bands confirmed so far include Loqui, Rob Galloway, Danny Pig, The Victors and Die Video Die.

Paul is still looking for bands and if anyone wishes to help with sponsorship, or to offer support (e.g. sound engineers, raffle prizes, catering, etc) or if anyone can work on the day then they should call 07984 414729.

The previous 23 Docstoc festivals and their 5 sister events Acoustoc have raised over £20,000 since 2003.
