If you’re unable to attend Leeds Festival this year, then don’t worry. You can keep out of the mud and rain - and still enjoy the best of the festival - by watching the highlights on the BBC.

The BBC will be providing extensive coverage of Leeds 2008 through its TV, Radio and websites, and as the official broadcaster the BBC will be the only place to watch and listen to all the performances.

As well the regular 6 Music and Radio One radio shows, BBC Three will have coverage from 7pm each evening, with extended performances available via the Interactive TV / Red Button. You can also watch the festival’s major acts through the BBC website at www.bbc.co.uk/readingandleeds.

In related festival news, this year’s Futuresound winner Fran Rodgers will play a low-key festival warm-up gig at the Packhorse on Wednesday 20th August. Fran will appear on the Festival Republic Stage at Leeds and the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading.

The warm-up event line up is completed by i concur, Pulled Apart by Horses, and Grammatics. Doors are 8pm, entrance is just £3.
