Site chosen for a new 12,500 capacity Leeds arena

Leeds City Council has today revealed their choice of site for a new multi-million pound 12,500-seat arena for the city. The venue - which will be "predominately for popular music" - will be built in the city centre on a five-acre site off Clay Pit Lane.

Similar sites in Holbeck and Beeston were also under consideration.

SMG has already been chosen to run the venue.
