Leeds rockers The Glitterati have today revealed their signing with DR2 Records (Therapy?, Wednesday13), a part of the Demolition label.

In 2003, the band released their debut single - titled ‘Do You Love Yourself?’ – via the Poptones label and were subsequently nominated for Best British Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards.

After signing with East West/Atlantic in 2004, they appeared at Leeds Festival later that year alongside Kaiser Chiefs and The Cribs. A year later they released their debut album which was produced by Mike Clink (Guns’N’Roses, Metallica).

Of the recent announcement, the band said, “After meeting the team at Global Music, DR2 we knew it was the right label for us. Their work ethic, passion and commitment to their artist roster is second to none and we are very excited to be working with them."

The Glitterati are busy working on their second album.
