Described as "a raw, impetuous, young rock band" from Leeds!
The Gonzo's are a young, energetic rock band from Leeds. They released their debut album 'Welcome To Our World' on Friday 16th September at their album launch at The Cockpit. It's 10 tracks of fast paced pop rock from the young 4 piece who came together about 18 months ago in a Music lesson at School. Recently winning the first Leeds AMP Awards at the O2 Academy the lads have been concentrating on recording & trying to play anywhere they can just to be on a stage doing what they love.
The band have played at venues such as the Leeds 02 Academy, The Cockpit (rooms two and three) and played at The Scout Festival.
They have also made a few radio appearances on East Leeds Radio (ELFM) and Phoenix FM.
The Gonzos released their debut album 'Welcome To Our World' at The Cockpit late 2011 and released their EP 'Ready When You Are' on the 28th of January 2012.
The band underwent a line up change in mid April 2012 with the new line up consisting of:
Adam Smith on Vocals,
Sam Price on drums
Tom Hinchcliffe on guitar
Harry Sutherland on bass
