In a world full of media hype what can be said about Crosscut Saw......

Individually and as a band, they have a solid musical pedigree, having steeped themselves in the recordings and traditions of a great musical heritage, they have worn the boards in countless venues for many a year.

"We tend to shun the temptation to talk about past successes, celebrity endorsements and awards and concentrate on the next performance."

A Crosscut Saw gig is a hoodoo rollercoaster of pure primeval power. No hype, no image, no posturing, no deception, just true alchemy. No two performances are ever the same, even the musicians themselves don't know what potent brew will be cooked up. Nothing can be written to give an adequate impression.

"You have to be there in the moment, you have to feel it."

Crosscut Saw are a four piece blues band from Yorkshire, England
Alex Eden - guitar, harmonica, vocals
Richard Ferdinando - drums, vocals
James Heggie - bass guitar, vocals
Patrick Wells - harmonica, vocals

"I can say this, they're incredibly rare, they're the real deal."

Crosscut Saw are an urban blues band fronted by, Blues Musician Of The Year 2003, Alex Eden on vocals, guitar and harmonica, with Richards: Green on Bass and Ferdinando on drums. In addition to their own authentically crafted songs the band play tribute to the greats such as Muddy Waters, RL Burnside and Buddy Guy. This prominent Leeds band has worked with numerous top names; most recently supporting Dr Feelgood and Eddie Blue & The Ravens. USA acclaimed blues artist Jake Walker chose Crosscut Saw as his band for his recent UK tour. They will be appearing at various Blues Festivals also supporting Oliver/Dawson (Saxon) and Ainsley Lister later this year.
