Started as a solo project from OB (after experimenting for a number of years as 2000 Lightmen) blumone* has become a full on band with guest and regular members. Feeling restricted by the dance genre and seeing a revolution ahead OB decided to start something that could give him more space to create new music without boundaries. Inspired by obliquos hip-hop and the new electro scene he produced "Introducing... Blumone" and soon after "We are blumone*" a more organic work that flirt with electro and rock with attention to lyrics and song structure. Finallly, having set up a temporary band with Jonny Wilkinson (from Spring) on drums and Mark Hubbard (Red Lorry Yellow Lorry) on the bass (now substitute by Chris Smith), they debuted at the Carpe Diem in Leeds on the 9th of December 2004 as part of the weareyou... live night, between cheers and dances. In the pipeline an extended version of the new song "Supafank" and even more live gig. Keep your ears open...
